What the JCRA does:

Licenses port operations carried out by Ports of Jersey

Sets and monitors the maximum level Ports of Jersey charges can increase each year through a price control

Sets and reports on the quality of service standards in the ports sector

Shares information on cross-sector issues by working with Government and ports stakeholders

Investigates potential breaches of the Law and Licence conditions, including anti-competitive conduct

What the JCRA doesn't do:

Regulate airlines, ferry services or the freight industry

Oversee public service obligations delivered by Ports of Jersey
