The CEO of the JCRA, Tim Ringsdore is walking every road in Jersey, a total distance of 350 miles, to raise funds for the JSPCA and Autism Jersey.
The JSPCA is the JCRA’s chosen charity for 2022, and Tim is supporting Autism Jersey personally.
You can join Tim on some of the walks and see parts of your home Island that you don’t usually get to see.
“I’m a Jerseyman and yet I haven’t walked every road. This is a great opportunity to help these charities but also to appreciate every mile of our beautiful Island. If there’s one thing that the last two years has taught us, it’s that getting out into the fresh air and experiencing our natural environment, is good for our physical and mental health. Both the JSPCA and Autism Jersey are very important local charities that I try to support in any way I can, and I’m really looking forward to raising money for them, but more importantly raising awareness of the great work they do”. Tim Ringsdore.
The Fundraising target
£2,000 to be split equally between the two charities.
The JSPCA Animals’ shelter, offers a large range of services to care for the Island’s animals, including a 24 hour ambulance to rescue injured animals, a lost and found service for pets, the rescue and rehabilitation of wild animals, and the rehoming of unwanted pets. https://jspca.org.je/
Autism Jersey is dedicated to the assistance and support of people on the autism spectrum, helping enable them to achieve their potential through advocacy and personalised services for individuals, families, and carers. https://www.autismjersey.org/

Sunday 23rd January: St Ouen
Tim is being joined by local historian, Ian Ronayne, who will lead him, and anyone who’d like to join in, on a tour around St Ouen. Nowhere in the Island is there a larger concentration of German fortifications, both on the beach and to stop attackers reaching the high ground. The walk will visit some of these remains, as well as take in the tranquil setting of St Ouen’s church where Ian will recount the tragic impact of earlier conflicts on Jersey’s oldest families. Anyone wishing to join the walk and raise funds for the JSPCA and Autism Jersey, should meet Tim and Ian at the St Ouen’s Church car park at 2pm. Donations can be made via Tim’s Just Giving page.
